Gomez addams

Gomez is the husband of Morticia, father of Wednesday and Pugsley, and head of the Addams household. He lives in the Addams mansion in Central Park with his wife and children, as well as his brother Fester, his mother, and their servant, Lurch.

The Addamses are extremely wealthy and have been endowed with an old, inherited money source that relieves them of the necessity of working. Thus, Gomez does not seem to need to work a normal job. Nonetheless, he is a strong leader and a caring father, who holds the Addams’ traditions and values -- to honor the family, love, and death -- in the highest level of importance.

He is a passionate man, deeply in love with his wife, Morticia, and doing anything he can to make her happy. He loves his two children very much and struggles to accept that he must relinquish parental control and acknowledge how rapidly they are maturing. Ultimately, he is an understanding and compassionate man. Many of the other characters feel comfortable enough to open up to him. For example, his daughter Wednesday confides the complexity of her feelings about her boyfriend to him. Mal, the father of his daughter’s boyfriend, tells Gomez about his childhood dream which Gomez consequently helps him realize.
