Mal Beineke
Mal is the father of Lucas and husband of Alice. He lives in Ohio where he owns a construction company. Mal is business-minded, logical, and determinedly normal. He sets very high expectations on his son, Lucas, who often feels pressured and criticized by this.
He is resistant to the Addamses’ lifestyle; when he sets eyes on the decrepit Addams mansion, he immediately sees the business opportunity and wants to tear the place down.
His wife claims that he once was romantic, but he seems to have lost all such sensibilities, long ago. He refuses to support Lucas’ relationship with Wednesday Addams, and his own marriage is passionless and stale. However, he eventually reveals to Gomez a much more adventurous soul deep down.
His childhood dream was to be reborn as a fish in his next life, so he could pass every day contentedly swimming through the sea.
